How It Went

Over the weekend of October 17th and 18th, instructors from the Czech club Fratres in Armis joined us in Ticino to teach combat techniques with scythes and sickles, drawn from the historical manuscripts of Paulus Hector Mair.

Across the two days we worked through; basic cuts and parries, disarms, actions and reactions, drills and free play.Plus at the end of the second day we went up with a small sickles tournament. The group ranged from initiates to experienced fencers, 13 participant form 4 clubs,Lepontii Lupus militibus, Compagnia del corvo grigio, Claire de Lame and 12 Ways

A special Thank You! to Fratres in Armis for travelling about 900 Km by car for meet us in South Switzerland and sharing their knoweledge and good spirit. Thanks as well to MAC Armoury for providing sparring sickle to every participant at the workshop.
